Abbey gets picked up in the US

BLONDE Abbey Clancy is set for a taste of fame in the US after a major TV channel picked up Britain’s Next Top Model.

The CW will show two prime-time specials from the first two series.

Abbey, 20, on-off girlfriend of England striker Peter Crouch, came second in series two. A pal said: “This could be big for Abbey. Most people could only dream of it.”

The video, directed by Canadian rock star turned photographer Bryan Adams, features behind-the-scenes footage of Abbey and three other models
getting ready for a lingerie shoot.

In one scene, Abbey covers her naked breasts with her hands as she prepares for a sizzling pose on a bed.

Her companions Grace Small, Jenny Meister and Melody Blacklock are also seen cavorting in their underwear in the two-minute movie.

Each girl then mouths to the camera: “I love pussy Glamore.”

An internet insider said: “The company intended the video to be an arty promotion for their product.

“It’s very classy lingerie and the last thing they would have expected was thousands of football fans logging on to look at Crouchie’s girlfriend in her smalls.

“Trouble is they might now be struggling to handle all the extra traffic.”

Interest in the site could match that triggered by Kate Moss when she made a similar video put on the site of another lingerie firm, Agent Provocateur.

Tens of thousands rushed to go online after the film “went live”. And the website collapsed under the strain.

A source close to Abbey said she was hoping to become as big an internet phenomenon as Kate.

“It will get her noticed all over the world. It really could be the stepping stone to bigger and better things across the globe. Who knows just who will look at it?”

Wag Ab lands her own LA show

WAG Abbey Clancy has scooped her own TV show.

America’s Next Top Model star Janice Dickinson will try to help her hit the big time in LA.

Janice bills herself as the world’s first supermodel — and is a walking ad for plastic surgery.

She will be mentor to Abbey, 21 — girlfriend of Liverpool ace Peter Crouch — as the cameras follow her bid for stardom. The Living TV show airs later this year.
