The fiancée of Liverpool ace Steven Gerrard said: “They don’t look healthy, nothing looks right on them.”

Size ten Alex, a mum of two, added: “Blokes want something to get hold of.”

Gerrard's baby 'in good health' after hospital scare

The daughter of Premiership star Steven Gerrard was said to be in "good health" today after being admitted to hospital over Christmas.

Eight-month-old Lexie was taken to Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's Hospital on Christmas Eve and kept in for observation overnight.

She was discharged the following day and went back to the family home in Formby, Merseyside.

Lexie, who is the second child of the footballer and his partner, Alex Curran, was admitted to the same hospital in October and discharged after treatment.
A spokesman for Liverpool and England midfielder Gerrard described the latest hospital admission as "purely precautionary".

He said: "It was a purely precautionary measure, and Lexie is in good health."

The spokesman declined to comment further about Lexie's condition, but sources close to the player said it was linked to a problem with swallowing.

ENGLAND and Liverpool hero STEVEN GERRARD is to marry ALEX CURRAN on June 16, I can exclusively reveal.

The couple are due to say, “With this ring, I Stevie G wed” at a star-studded ceremony which will be the biggest showbiz wedding of 2007.

They have flogged the rights for exclusive pictures of their big day to a downmarket glossy mag for a whopping £1million.

The Reds’ captain and WAG Alex sent out invitations for the bash this week and asked guests to keep the date free.

The invites didn’t say where the wedding is taking place — to protect the mag deal — but I can tell you it is being held at a stately home in the North West.

Guests will include WAYNE ROONEY and COLEEN MCLOUGHLIN, GARY BARLOW, GIRLS ALOUD’s NICOLA ROBERTS, and ASHLEY COLE and CHERYL TWEEDY (otherwise known as Greedy and Tweedy).

All the Liverpool team including JAMIE CARRAGHER have been asked along with their partners, as has Stevie’s former teammate, Newcastle and England star MICHAEL OWEN and his wife Louise.

Given the bride-to-be’s passion for shopping, I wouldn’t bet against her turning up on the big day with a trendy accessory or two from her favourite store, Cricket.

At the top of the page, my computer wizards show how she might look.

You can just see the owner of the shop (made so famous by Alex and Coleen) rubbing her hands in glee at the thought of all those outfit sales in the run-up to the ceremony.

Local tanning salons will no doubt report a massive upturn in trade, too.

Alex was spotted yesterday shopping at Cricket (where else?) showing off a new pre-wedding look.

She has ditched her long hair extensions and toned down the orange permatan she once sported in favour of a much more sophisticated image.

Her two daughters by the Liverpool star — Lily Ella, two, and nine-month-old Lexie — are expected to be bridesmaids.

A source close to the couple said: “The event is shrouded in secrecy to protect the deal they have signed and they have hired a wedding planner to help organise everything.

“They had looked at the possibility of getting married at a castle in Ireland but have settled on a stately home in the North West.”

Stevie and Alex share a £2million mansion in posh Formby, Merseyside.

STEVEN Gerrard and Alex Curran weren't going to let a parking ticket spoil their joy while out shopping for wedding day ideas yesterday.

The Liverpool lovebirds - who last week announced their plans to marry after five years together - were slapped with a £100 fine for parking their car illegally in London's Sloane Street.

Liverpool and England star Steven, 26, and fiancee Alex, 23, hit the shops after sending out invites to their star-studded wedding in June. The couple's two daughters Lilly-Ella, two, and nine-month-old Lexie are expected to be bridesmaids at the bash.

An onlooker said: "It looked like a parking fine was the last thing on their minds. They didn't have a care."

FOOTIE WAG Alex Curran takes it thighs and easy as she steps out of a nightclub in sexy stockings.

Alex, 24, proved it’s not just her boyfriend Steven Gerrard who can fill the net as she partied with pals at a Liverpool nightclub.

The pair are to marry on June 16 — the same day Gerrard’s England pal Gary Neville weds Emma Hadfield.

At least there’ll be two big matches in the summer

It's Alex Cur-rant on the attack

YOU’D think marrying one of our most eligible bachelors would have WAG ALEX CURRAN grinning from ear to ear.

But the future Mrs STEVEN GERRARD was in no mood to celebrate at the weekend.

Alex made a huge scene after overhearing a group of girls at another table mocking her upcoming nuptials.

An onlooker at Liverpool’s Newz Bar said: “She stormed over to the table ranting and raving and ordered bouncers to kick the girls out. She was a real madam.”
