Bronco Becks has a knight out at Disney

Clutching a sword in one hand and a lucrative contract - sorry, shield - in the other, David Beckham gallops straight into a high-profile American endorsement deal.

Although playing down accusations that his impending move to Los Angeles owes more to showbusiness than football, here he is on a white charger all dressed up in doublet and hose to advertise Disney.

In the picture, by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, Beckham portrays the dragon-slaying Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty.

The 31-year-old former England captain - who two weeks ago signed a £127 million deal with the LA Galaxy soccer club - appears with singer Beyonce Knowles, country star Lyle Lovett and actors Scarlett Johansson and Oliver Platt in the Disney campaign.

It will be featured in the March issues of U.S. magazines including Vanity Fair, GQ, Vogue, W, The New Yorker, Conde Nast Traveler and Cookie.

As Beckham's equestrian extravaganza was unveiled, friends revealed that he has been taking lessons to lower the pitch of his voice and is studying method acting.

It was also reported that he and his wife Victoria are considering an offer to star in their own fly-on-the-wall TV show when they move to Los Angeles.

It would be modelled on The Osbournes, which featured rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his dysfunctional family.

DAME Helen Mirren thinks David Beckham would be good in movies — but only if he had SILENT roles.

The double Golden Globe winning actress, 61, told a US newspaper she said Becks, 31, was “possibly one of the most beautiful men in the world”.

But she said of the squeaky-voiced footy star: “If he had a role where he didn’t have a big, long speech, maybe a silent role, I think he’d be wonderful.”

VICTORIA Beckham’s biggest – and most embarrassing – secrets are to be laid bare in a new bunions-and-all telly show.

What’s Eating Victoria Beckham? tells how she has transformed herself from pimply teenage wannabe to the ultimate global celebrity.

People who have helped Posh to transform her body break their silence to reveal how the mum-of-three has done it.

Five’s no-holds-barred programme next Wednesday will let viewers know exactly what parts of her body the 32-year-old has tinkered with.

The documentary confirms she has had her boobs, teeth and skin “improved” and tells the story behind her tattoos and moody pout.

The show also shows how the pressures of fame and fortune have affected Victoria’s figure.

These are some of the amazing secrets revealed on the show:

SECRET 1
Roman numerals VIIIV – 8 and 5 – are tattooed on Victoria’s wrist, representing May 8 – the date of her first night of passion with husband-to-be David in 1997. Another tattoo marks the date their eldest son Brooklyn, six, was conceived.

SECRET 2
Surgeon Alex Karidis confirms Posh has had boob jobs. He claims: “You can almost see two round balls stuck on her chest.”

SECRET 3
Ex-love Mark Wood, 34, says Posh set about changing her appearance to look like mum Jackie.

SECRET 4
Teenage acne caused the skin problems she has had to have treated – but she hasn’t had a nose job or cheek implants.

She does not stay slim by following a magic diet, or because she battles an eating disorder. She just watches what she eats.

Beckhams' staff barred from US

DAVID and VICTORIA BECKHAM have suffered the first setback in their dream move to LA.

Posh and Bucks have had work permit applications for their entire security team refused by US immigration authorities.

Midfielder Becks has been told his trusted and loyal defenders will not be allowed to move to America with him under their strict visa guidelines.

That means the Beckhams will have to show the red card to their eight most loyal security staff — who sons BROOKLYN, ROMEO and CRUZ see as uncles.

A source said: “Posh and Becks’ personal protection squad have been with them for a good few years.

“But they won’t be allowed to work for them in America because they do not qualify for work permits because of the strict regulations surrounding work permits in the US.

“It is looking like Becks will have to give them all the sack because they will rarely be outside the US and won’t be needed. The hunt is now on to find an American security team to look after them in LA.

“It’s proving to be a massive headache because David and Victoria are comfortable and so happy with their current team.”

The Beckhams’ security staff work two weeks on, two weeks off and get paid handsomely, at more than £1,500 a week.

Two of the team are ex-SAS members and the entire crew are highly trained. The Beckhams’ management team have explored every possible immigration avenue, investigating all the loopholes but with no success.

Even their celebrity status has failed to earn any special treatment for their staff.

The US authorities will not grant foreigners a work permit if they believe Americans are capable of doing the job.

Meanwhile Victoria was under the watchful eye of one of her minders as she joined her former Spice colleagues for dinner in London on Wednesday night.

Posh joined GERI HALLIWELL and pregnant EMMA BUNTON for a healthy dinner at swanky Nobu restaurant in Mayfair in central London.

Talk of Girl Power was replaced by Mum Power over prawn toasts and blackened cod.

The next morning Victoria’s minder was on hand to offer her a steadying arm in the snow and ice.
