DON'T expect to see Joe Cole's spanking new Bentley on the road any time soon - he's too busy checking out the back seat with his WAG Carly Zucker!

We hear the injured England and Chelsea ace, 26, is more interested enjoying the delights of his blinging GT while it's parked outside his house.

We're told he's spent his hours off the pitch steaming up the windows, clamped to girlfriend Carly.

Carly let slip to a close friend that the couple spent most of the past week in the £160,000 silver motor while it was parked up. The pal said: "They were so excited about the new Bentley that couldn't wait to christen it.

They've spent all week canoodling. Neither of them wanted to go indoors.

"They watched TV in the car with a takeaway and never once turned off the massaging seats."

Well, it's hardly surprising they didn't want to budge after forking out an extra £2,500 for the black leather interior.

WICKED WHISPER

WHICH footballer is having his bank balance raided by his girlfriend, who's determined to be the next big WAG and has quit her job to make her dream come true

answer: Carly Zurker!

According to New magazine Carly wants to cash in on her wag status as she to wants to earn £100,000 a year as does the likes of Alex Curran. A freinds said she has got herself an agent and is trying to become a presenter or something like that!!

They have also said she doesnt get on with some of the wags!!

It's a fashion no-no from Joe

October 25, 2006

CHELSEA and England soccer ace JOE COLE looks pretty chuffed after a night of fine dining with girlfriend CARLY ZUCKER.

That’s hardly suprising, as Carly is regularly voted the fittest of the WAGS – without peroxide blonde hair or pink trackie bottoms

Waggy trousers ... Joe and Carly

Fitness trainer Carly looked fantastic and the new high-waisted look showed off her figure as she left London’s trendy Cipriani restaurant.

The only dodgy thing was Joe’s tight trousers.

Cole comes in from the cold

NOVEMBER 22, 2006

JOE COLE has had to wait a long time to show he can be as effective for his club as he is for his country.

Usually, it is the other way round — with recognition harder to achieve at international level — but not for Cole.

The midfielder, 25, was man of the match for England in the friendly with Holland last week and tonight against Werder Bremen in Germany he will get the chance to play the full 90 minutes for Chelsea.

So far this season he has started only twice for the Blues — against Sheffield United in the Premiership and Blackburn in the Carling Cup.

He was subbed on both occasions and neither performance was enough to convince boss Jose Mourinho that he should retain his place in the team for the following game.

Mourinho is not in the habit of changing a winning side. His philosophy is simple — if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

But, with Frank Lampard suspended, Cole will have the opportunity to play from the start in this Champions League tussle and reproduce the form which the coach himself admitted was so important to Chelsea last term.

Mourinho said: “He is a victim of the injury he had.

“He had a big injury in the first friendly in the USA and after that he couldn’t train for two months and came back and wasn’t fully fit.

“He got a game in the Carling Cup but not at full capacity.

“He is a victim of Chelsea’s performances and it’s not easy for me to change the team when the team is playing so well. But, against Bremen, he plays from start.

“The opportunity for Joe is not to impress me because I know he’s a very good player — it’s for him to do well for the team.

“He has played in all of our games but it’s easier to start a game than always to come in for the second half and he knows since yesterday that he is going to play.

“He has a lot to give us. Last season, he was crucial for our Premiership title and also for our squad. Joe at his maximum level is a very important player for us.”

It is unusual for Mourinho to publicly name a player who will start but he went on to do the same for his entire team.

The boys from Stamford Bridge need only a point to get out of Group A and qualify for the knockout stages, while Bremen could possibly eliminate Barcelona.

The Bundesliga side would be greatly helped in that quest if they were to defeat Chelsea in the Weserstadion this evening.

The Chelsea boss might like to see his bitter Catalan rivals down and out but he left no one in any doubt about how his team are approaching this match.

Mourinho said: “I only play to lose when I play against my kids. And then only because I want them to be happy. After that I play to win. Champions League, Premier League or whatever.

“Respect your opponents, yourself and everything else but we will play the best we can and try to get the best result.

“Our position in the group is magnificent and we only need one point to qualify but that does not affect the way we approach the match.”

Asked if he would prefer Bremen rather than Barca to go through, Mourinho (above) claimed only a fool would make that choice.

He said: “Imagine if I say Werder Bremen and then we get Bremen in the quarter-final and they beat me? You would laugh at me.

“Barca is a great team and one of the favourites for the competition, while Bremen is the outsider. Bremen don’t have the pressure to win the competition the way we, Barca, Inter or AC Milan have. I can tell you that I want to win.”

But does he want to win this match more than he does against Manchester United in the Premiership on Sunday?

He concluded: “This game is more important than Manchester United.

“We only focus on the next game and Manchester will be very different to this. But we want to win both.”
